Libby and Hugh Oldham first established a gallery in Molong, Central West NSW in 2000 to bring together the works of the many talented artists in the region. In 2006 they purchased a derelict building in Gidley Street, Molong which they renovated to house the purpose built Gallery space. The gallery gift shop features local crafts people and selected pieces for that special occasion. The gallery also offers specialised framing onsite for all types of art and memorabilia.

The name Jayes was chosen because of the history of the building which originally was home to the Jaye family and their business of Boot makers.

Libby and Hugh work as a team with Libby as Gallery Director and Hugh taking on the role of Gallery Curator. Libby is currently the President of Arts OutWest, an organisation covering 12 Council regions, that promotes, facilitates, educates and advocates for arts and cultural development for communities of Central West NSW. She is also Chair of the Cabonne Tourism Committee reporting to Cabonne Council.
